Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol
Deadline reports Daisy Ridley, Rupert Grint, Sam Claflin, Charlie Murphy, Arthur Conti, and Ellie Bamber have joined the cast of Ti West’s Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol in undisclosed roles.
The Exorcist
Deadline also has word that Hamnet‘s Jacobi Jupe has joined the cast of Mike Flanagan’s The Exorcist.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day
According to a report from The Cosmic Circus, Tramell Tillman will play the Head of the Department of Damage Control in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. His character will “lead an investigation by the DODC to apprehend a new rogue metahuman they have been keeping an eye on for a while; the character in question is being portrayed by Sadie Sink.”
The MCU
Meanwhile, a new listing on Justia Trademarks has registered the name “Wolverine” under “motion picture films” and “multimedia entertainment content.”
Thriving
According to Deadline, Starry Eyes and Pet Sematary directors Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kölsch are attached to Thriving, an exorcism-related horror movie in which “a heartbroken young woman’s escape to Ibiza’s hedonistic paradise descends into visceral horror when an amateur exorcism forces her to confront whether her unraveling mind is creating monsters or becoming one.”
BadAsstronauts
Paramount is also developing a film based on Grady Hendrix’s 2022 novella, BadAsstronauts, in which “a washed-up astrophysicist decides, against all logic and common sense, to build a homemade rocket and launch it into orbit to rescue his cousin who’s stranded in space.” [Deadline]
Freaks 2
Deadline additionally reports Final Destination: Bloodlines‘ Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein have already wrapped production on Freaks 2, a sequel to their 2018 horror movie about a 7-year-old girl forced to stay inside by her father for fear of the “abnormals” outside.
